Ways to Give

WISE 2014 Calendar

Our 2014 WISE Calendars are now available for purchase from the school for $25. This year, it features art from our Students, Staff/Board and Parents. The WISE yearly Calendar is a beautiful, useful way to support our school. You can pick one up from our office or the school store.

Camino Chocolates

Order Fairtrade and Organic chocolate bars and support our school. A great way for people to give twice through one purchase: to WESE, and to family farmers in Southern countries through Camino’s fair trade business practices. For every $4 chocolate bar purchased, $1.60 goes to WESE. Chocolate bars are available in the school office

Stepping Stones Fundraiser

Stepping Stones FundraiserFor our Garden of the future, we would like to have a winding path of Stepping-stones around the school, engraved with the names of those who helped support our school during its first years. By purchasing a stone, you will help us create a path to our future.

If you donate to our school between during our Stepping Stone fundraiser between December 2012 and March 2013, we will purchase and engrave a Stepping Stone, to be laid in the garden of our School in Fall.

Purchase a Stepping Stone and Help Create a Path to our Future
Please consider making a donation to support our unique programs.  Each donation over $100 will be represented by a Stepping Stone to be placed in the garden of the WISE (ie, a donation of $700 will be represented by 7 engraved Stepping Stones, to be laid in the garden of our school).  A donation of $2,500 or more will be represented by a garden bench, engraved with your name(s). A receipt for tax purposes will be issued for your donation.

Mabels Labels Fundraiser

It is very important that parents to label all their children’s school belongings prior to the start of school. A great way to do this is to order labels from our fall fundraiser through Mabels Labels. They have packages just for school that includes clothing, shoe and container labels. Orders can be placed online at the following link. www.wise.mabelslabels.com. Labels are sent directly to your home.

Catfish Coffee

Order locally roasted, organic coffee and support our school. For every pound ordered, $5 goes to WESE and $3 for every 1/2 pound. Order forms can be found on the bulletin board outside the Wondergarten classroom, or downloaded here. Orders and payment can be dropped off in the parent lounge any time. Orders are placed around the middle of each month, with the coffee delivered to the parent lounge 1-2 weeks later. Each month, the order deadlines will be published in the WISE newsletter and on WESE’s Facebook page.

Shop at the Enchanted Garden

The Enchanted Garden, the volunteer-run store within the WISE, is well-stocked with many Waldorf-related items that are difficult to find locally, such as Stockmar art supplies, Elsa Beskow children’s books, wooden toys, and Waldorf dolls. The store is open Thursday evenings from 7:30-9:30 and is also open during most WESE events. If you have any questions, please contact the store director, Julie Yerex, at store@thewise.ca.

WISE Wish List

Parents and Friends who wish to direct their gift towards something specific that benefit a student, class or the school may be interested in looking at our wish list. There are many opportunities to contribute financially and in kind. Please contact our office for more information.

‘Many hands make light work!’ The operation of WISE requires more than present tuition fees and fundraising can provide. In addition to the tuition funds that each family provides, we ask that families contribute volunteer time throughout the year towards the support of school operation and activities. The overall objective for all—parents and supportive volunteers—is to equitably share the work and financial cost of running the school. Please sign up for a volunteer task, and help enrich the school while strengthening our community. Many jobs can be done at home, in your own time. Please contact the office for more information.
