Elevate WISE

Educating Head, Heart and Hands, so that together,
we learn to change the world.

This year Edmonton’s only Waldorf school – the WISE – celebrates our 7th birthday.

We have just lost our baby teeth! Soon our first Class 9 students will graduate and we will complete the purchase of our own school building.

All this progress is thanks to our wonderful, supportive community.

The WISE remains one of the very few community accessible Waldorf schools in all of North America. We can maintain this because of three factors:

  • funding from the provincial government (equivalent of 70% of a Public or Catholic school);
  • ongoing fees paid by parents (less than $5.50 per day, per child);
  • enormous volunteering efforts made by parents (equivalent to around 10 full-time staff positions).

The 7 year change in a child is a new phase of turning out to the world. For our school it is a new chance to build the head, heart and hands required for a sustainable future. We want to join with you to take our school to the next level. We want to Elevate WISE.

Many parents have already generously donated towards the purchase of the school and towards other ongoing activities. We have received gifts from $20 to $43,000. Others have worked hard to introduce to their colleagues, friends and family members who have joined the co-creation efforts.

Today, we want to renew our focus on friend-raising, fund-raising and community building. Please complete the Elevate Pledge Form. The Pledge form asks you to make an annual financial commitment to one of three funds and/or to introduce us to a friend or family member who would love to grow closer to our school through volunteering or enrolment.

If you have any questions please do get in touch.

With gratitude,

*A receipt for tax purposes will be issued for your donation.

Thank-you so much for helping reach our goal!
