Our Grade School program, designed for Grades 1-9, instills a lifelong love of learning. Our teachers align creative developmental activities with emerging cognitive, emotional, and physical stages of growth, offering a well-rounded education.
Grades 1-6: Building Foundations
- Language Arts: Pictorial introduction to the alphabet, writing, reading, spelling, poetry, and drama.
- Literature: Folk and fairy tales, fables, and saint legends.
- Mathematics: Numbers, basic mathematical processes of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Science and Nature: Nature stories, house building, and gardening.
Grades 7-9: Expanding Horizons
- Academics: Challenging studies in science experiments, revolutionary movements, and the Renaissance.
- Specialized Instruction: Main lesson teachers provide consistency in teaching main lesson blocks each morning, specializing in mathematics, sciences, and humanities.
- Electives and Enrichment: Specialty teachers offer instruction in handwork, woodwork, music (Band!), and a variety of electives including outdoor survival, nutrition/cooking, parkour, jewelry making, archery, fencing, and costuming.
- Physical Education: Games, movement, and sports activities promote cooperation and self-discipline.
